Make sure to mail in your postcard to receive The Wrangler, they will expire the 2008 list as of the May 5th issue.
Memberships form & dues must be postmarked two weeks prior to the first rodeo that individual plans to attend. If not postmarked two weeks in advance then the contestant can hometown that rodeo or pay an additional $50 late fee for points to count.
We will be placing our first jacket order soon. They are really nice jackets Brad and Beth Clingman have done a great job with the jackets this year. Not sure of when we will place the 2nd order, they may or may not be available at the summer finals held in Gillette. So get your membership in.
There has been a change in the WJRA membership fundraising. It is now MANDATORY THAT ALL WJRA MEMBERS SELL MONEY CALENDARS OR GET A $105 DONATION. This was a rule change for the 2009 rodeo season. This money is to be sent in with your membership application. Please send in 2 checks, one for the membership and one for the fundraiser. The check for the calendars will be held for a month and then deposited – please note that this to is different from years past. Once calendars have been sold please return the stubs to Lori Eckhardt P.O. Box 114 Lander, WY 82520. If you sell calendars but do not attend Summer Finals you can still receive your jacket. If you can not attend summer finals, you will need to send $6.00 to me per jacket with the correct address as to where to mail the jacket(s) and I will get your jacket mailed. Or notify me that you have made arrangements for someone to pick up your jacket at Summer Finals. As in the past each member is required to sell 7 calendars, but a member can sell more than seven. Contact Lori to request more calendars. She can be contacted at 307-332-9159. There will be cash prize(s) up to two places given out at finals for the top sellers. Parents can again order a jacket, but will need to prepay $105 for each jacket. Send a check or money order and the size you would like to order.
Contact Lori if you need her to hold your check longer than a month.
If you are a new member you will also need to send a copy of your birth certificate. Remember to have the member(s) sign the membership form and have it notarized. Also a change to the membership is, if you are going to be an outgoing senior please mark the box.
